Hawaii on the Cusp of Becoming the 5th Clean Fuel Standard State

Hawaii is poised to become the 5th state to enact a Clean Fuel Standard following the passage of SB 2999. Once signed by Governor Josh Green, the policy would follow existing programs in California, New Mexico, Oregon and Washington.

For Hawaii, where its isolation creates significant challenges for energy costs and fuel supply, the policy represents an important step toward a more diversified and resilient transportation and energy future.
